Sometimes that exact thing you need or want doesn’t quite exist yet. That’s a problem we ran in to when trying to get our new welder plugged in to our low THD portable generator.
The 240v output on the generator was a four-prong twist lock, and the 240v input cord on the welder was a three prong configuration. This video is a basic how-to guide that Stephen put together while constructing a basic converter cord, but we’ve since upgraded to a 75 foot version so that we can extend our range and reach those hard-to-weld places on the job site.
